SALVAREPLUS REFUNDS, RETURNS & WARRANTY POLICY

Last Updated: 28 August 2026

At SalvarePlus, we take pride in supplying quality electric mobility and portable power products.

We want our customers to be happy with their purchases and will always endeavour to resolve genuine product issues fairly and efficiently.

This policy applies to products purchased from SalvarePlus, including electric golf push carts, electric scooters, 12V lithium battery boxes and related accessories.

  1. YOUR LEGAL CONSUMER RIGHTS

Nothing in this policy limits any rights available to consumers under applicable South African legislation.

Under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008, qualifying goods carry an implied warranty of quality. Where goods fail to satisfy the applicable requirements within six months of delivery, the consumer may have the right to return the goods at the supplier’s risk and expense and, subject to the Act, direct the supplier to repair, replace or refund the goods.

These statutory rights exist independently of SalvarePlus’s additional 12-month commercial warranty.

  1. OUR 12-MONTH COMMERCIAL WARRANTY

Unless otherwise stated on a product quotation, invoice or product-specific warranty document, SalvarePlus provides a 12-month commercial warranty on:

  • Electric golf push carts;
  • Electric scooters; and
  • 12V lithium battery boxes.

Where supplied with the product, chargers and remote controls are also covered for 12 months, unless otherwise stated.

The warranty covers manufacturing defects and component failures occurring under normal and intended use, subject to the terms of this policy and applicable law.

  1. STATUTORY WARRANTY VS COMMERCIAL WARRANTY

The 12-month SalvarePlus commercial warranty is in addition to, and does not replace, reduce or exclude any statutory rights that consumers may have under South African law.

The first six months following delivery are particularly important because the CPA provides specific statutory remedies for qualifying defective goods.

  1. CHANGE-OF-MIND RETURNS

A change-of-mind return is different from a return involving a defective product.

Where SalvarePlus voluntarily accepts a change-of-mind return, the product should generally:

  • Be unused;
  • Be in its original condition;
  • Include all supplied accessories;
  • Be free from damage; and
  • Where reasonably possible, be returned in its original packaging.

Reasonable return transportation costs may be the customer’s responsibility where the return is not due to a product defect or an error by SalvarePlus, subject to applicable law.

Nothing in this section limits a consumer’s statutory rights.

  1. DEFECTIVE PRODUCTS

If you believe that your product has a defect, please contact SalvarePlus as soon as reasonably possible.

We may request:

  • Proof of purchase;
  • Invoice or order number;
  • Product serial number;
  • Photographs;
  • Video evidence where useful;
  • A description of the problem; and
  • Details regarding how the product was used.

Where necessary, the product may be inspected or tested to establish the cause of the reported problem.

  1. WARRANTY ASSESSMENT

A reported fault will be assessed fairly to determine whether it is consistent with a manufacturing defect, component failure, misuse, accidental damage, normal wear or another cause.

Where a claim is covered by the applicable statutory or commercial warranty, SalvarePlus will provide the appropriate remedy required by law or the applicable warranty.

  1. ELECTRIC GOLF PUSH CARTS

Golf push carts are designed for their intended golf-course application.

The commercial warranty may not cover damage caused by:

  • Collision or impact;
  • Overloading;
  • Incorrect assembly;
  • Unauthorised modifications;
  • Unauthorised electrical repairs;
  • Water or liquid ingress;
  • Pressure washing;
  • Physical abuse;
  • Incorrect storage or transportation;
  • Continued use after a serious fault becomes apparent; or
  • Normal wear and tear.

Wear items such as tyres, wheels, bearings and similar consumable components are subject to normal wear.

This does not exclude any statutory consumer rights.

  1. ELECTRIC SCOOTERS

Electric scooters must be operated responsibly and within their specified weight, speed, terrain and operating limits.

The commercial warranty may not cover damage resulting from:

  • Falls;
  • Collisions;
  • Accidents;
  • Overloading;
  • Water or liquid ingress;
  • Incorrect charging;
  • Use of incompatible chargers;
  • Unauthorised modification;
  • Unauthorised repairs;
  • Neglect;
  • Improper storage; or
  • Continued use after a serious fault becomes apparent.

Brake components, tyres, grips and similar consumable components are subject to normal wear.

This does not exclude any statutory consumer rights.

  1. 12V LITHIUM BATTERY BOXES

Lithium battery systems require particular care.

The commercial warranty may not cover damage caused by:

  • Reverse polarity;
  • Incorrect wiring;
  • Incorrect charging equipment;
  • Overcharging;
  • Excessive discharge;
  • Short circuits;
  • Overloading;
  • Water or liquid ingress;
  • Physical damage;
  • Incorrect storage;
  • Unauthorised opening;
  • Unauthorised modification;
  • Unauthorised repair; or
  • Use outside the specified application.

Customers must never open, dismantle or attempt to repair a lithium battery themselves.

  1. WATER AND LIQUID DAMAGE

Unless specifically stated otherwise for a particular product, SalvarePlus products should not be considered waterproof.

Rain, flooding, water spray, pressure washing, condensation or liquid ingress can damage electrical and electronic components.

Where inspection establishes that a failure was caused by water or liquid ingress, that damage may fall outside the commercial warranty, subject always to applicable statutory rights.

  1. UNAUTHORISED REPAIRS OR MODIFICATIONS

Opening, modifying, rewiring or repairing a product without appropriate authorisation may affect commercial warranty coverage where the modification or repair caused or contributed to the failure.

This does not limit statutory rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

  1. BATTERY DEGRADATION

Lithium batteries naturally experience capacity reduction over time and with use.

Normal capacity degradation associated with age, charging cycles, operating conditions and usage does not necessarily constitute a manufacturing defect.

Where a customer believes battery performance has deteriorated abnormally, SalvarePlus may test the battery to determine whether the issue is consistent with normal degradation or a fault.

  1. RETURN TRANSPORTATION

Please contact SalvarePlus before returning any product.

Lithium batteries may be subject to specific transportation requirements. Customers must therefore obtain return instructions before arranging transportation of a lithium battery product.

  1. REFUNDS

Where a refund is legally or contractually applicable and has been approved, it will normally be processed using the original payment method.

Refunds will be processed within a reasonable period after the applicable return or assessment requirements have been completed.

  1. INCORRECT OR DAMAGED DELIVERIES

If you receive the wrong product or a product that appears to have been damaged during delivery, contact SalvarePlus promptly.

Where possible, retain the original packaging and provide photographs of the packaging and product.

We will investigate and provide the appropriate remedy where the issue is attributable to SalvarePlus or the delivery process.
